In honor of its 10th anniversary, Charity Navigator — a website that has rated more than 1,100 organizations — has provided a list of 10 charities that were not only among the first to be evaluated, but also have consistently been ranked as some of the world’s most reputable.
Greater Chicago Food Depository

This Chicago-area food bank has been feeding hungry people since 1978 and distributes donated and purchased food to almost half a million adults and children every year.
