Thanksgiving is just a few days away. Toast your family and friends with one of the following 12 cocktails. Although each is made with autumn’s signature fruits and flavors, we’re willing to bet you’ll want to serve some of these again when Christmas and New Year’s roll around.
From: Sugar & Cloth
This tart cocktail is full of spices that pair nicely with turkey and stuffing. Make it part of the Thanksgiving feast this year!
From: Smarty Had a Party
Inspired by a recipe on Serious Eats, Smarty Had a Party concocted this delicious taste of fall in a glass. By the way, if you love the glasses, stick around on their site and give yourself an early Christmas present.
From: Boulder Locavore
Cinnamon, ginger and clove accent the pear-infused vodka. And with that deep honey amber color, this cocktail not only tastes like autumn, but looks like it, too. Whip some up for Thanksgiving and again for Christmas! In fact, this makes the perfect holiday gift!
From: Holly & Flora
Holly & Flora explain that allspice dram is a liqueur made from allspice berries with a little cinnamon. And it pairs perfectly with pears, not to mention figs. It’s like summer and autumn in a single glass. What’s not to love?
From: Fed + Fit
Made with cider spice-infused honey, a dash of whiskey and champagne or Prosecco, this fall-flavored drink will be a hit at Thanksgiving.
From: Heather Christo
Don’t be afraid of the bourbon in this festive fall concoction. It’s not at all overwhelming and it’s complemented nicely by the cinnamon and lemon. Serve with cinnamon sticks.
From: Turnip the Oven
Turnip the Oven had us at spiced pear Bellini. Serve in a champagne flute to keep it extra festive.
From: Serious Eats
Five minutes is all it takes to make this sparking fall drink. It includes Crispin Original hard cider and Laird's Apple Brandy because you can't have too much apple in this cocktail.
From: Kitchen Confidante
It's autumn, so of course we are including something made with pumpkin. The traditional Dark and Stormy pairs rum with ginger beer, but Kitchen Confidante used Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice instead and with fantastic results.
From: Simply Scratch
The classic g+t gets a splash of pomegranate and a swizzle stick that dresses it up for the holiday season. It's a refreshing cocktail that's perfect not just for Thanksgiving but also for Christmas.
From: My Diary of Us
We totally agree with My Diary of Us that the noble plum is too often overlooked. Combine ripe plums with thyme and prosecco for absolutely smashing results.
From: The Kitchn
The Kitchn featured this delicious cocktail created by Remy Cointreau's mixologist Kyle Ford. Made with two unlikely ingredients — Cointreau and Fernet Branca — this drink combines the former's spiciness with the latter's minty goodness and balances it all out with a splash of fresh lime juice.
As always, please drink responsibly! Have a Happy Thanksgiving, and don't forget these 12 drinks that we featured last year!
