We found the perfect way to add some spice into your workout. Bombay Jam, created by the Mona Khan Company in California, incorporates cardio and toning dance routines into one hip-shaking total body workout. Think Zumba with Bollywood flare. It was created by Bollywood dancers, choreographers and nationally certified fitness instructors with years of experience in the industry.

The classes incorporate easy-to-follow dance moves to burn away fat, while the toning segment focuses on sculpting long, lean muscles. In just an hour-long class, you can burn hundreds of calories, according to the Mona Khan Company.

Bombay Jam wouldn’t be anything without the music. Each workout soundtrack is set to custom mixes created by Bombay’s hottest DJs. You’ll hear a blend of Bollywood and mainstream Top 40 tracks that are refreshing, energizing and universally appealing.

“We believe it’s a ground-breaking, first-of-its-kind fitness class,” said Janani Chalaka, senior dance and fitness instructor at Mona Khan Company, in a press release. “The program offers a non-stop total body workout that seamlessly takes you through cardio and toning routines. It is based on the principal of interval training — the workout has steep peaks and valleys. Our new program is not only incredibly fun and energetic but also extremely effective.”
