Adrianne Haslet Davis, a ballroom dance instructor at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Boston who lost her left foot in the Boston Marathon bombing, has been a source of inspiration for many people since she proclaimed that she will dance again. And even though she’s not a runner, she plans on running the Boston Marathon next year.
“I will crawl across the finish line, literally crawl, if it means I finish it,” she told the Associated Press.
Producers from “Dancing With the Stars” have sent a camera crew to Boston for a profile to air on the show Tuesday, according to the New York Daily News. “Dancing With the Stars” pro Derek Hough told the Boston Herald that he’d be “thrilled” to dance with her after she finishes rehab.
SoRock Shop created a “Boston Strong” tank top in honor of Haslet Davis. The company says 100% of the profits will go toward paying for her prosthetic foot so she can get back on the dance floor. Click here to purchase one.
A fund has been set up to help Haslet Davis and her husband Adam — an Air Force captain who recently returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Click here to donate.
