Dying teen writes song, 30 celebrities surprise him with lip-syncing video

With only months to live after receiving a diagnosis of osteosarcoma — the eight most common form of childhood cancer — 17-year-old Zach Sobiech turned to music for catharsis. His video of him performing his song “Clouds” went viral on YouTube, viewed more than 2.7 million times, and on Monday, a group of celebrities posted a video response — all of them lip-syncing Sobiech’s song.

Director Justin Baldoni and Rainn Wilson, aka “Dwight Schrute” on NBC’s “The Office,” organized the heartfelt tribute, which included such stars as Rachel Bilson, Sarah Silverman, the Lumineers, Ashley Tisdale, Anna Faris, Jason Mraz and various “Office” cast members.
