Trips to the shore are a summertime staple, but nothing ruins post-beach relaxation like gritty sand that sticks to your skin, floor, tote bag, and everything else you took with you or touched that day. This is because sand will persistently stick to moisture, including the natural oil produced by your skin.
To get rid of it, sprinkle a layer of baby powder over the sand and then wipe it away, then vacuum or sweep as normal. The baby powder will absorb the moisture that is keeping the sand attached to skin or fabric, allowing it to be easily wiped away.
Not a big baby powder fan? Corn starch works just as well.
