Get rolling on tire cleanup

April 23, 2012

We’ve all seen the clichéd image of someone fishing an old tire out of a river. While that may be hilarious, we’d rather our waters be free of tires. To help make this a reality, Bridgestone has partnered with River Network, a Portland-based national watershed protection movement, to launch a national tire cleanup program.

The cleanup is part of Bridgestone’s One Team. One Planet Spent Tire Program, which aims to ensure that for every new tire the company sells in the United States, one spent tire, or tire that has been removed from use, can be reused in another valuable way.

Bridgestone will accept any collected tires, regardless of brand, from any River Network or other independently organized cleanup event free of charge. If you are interested in organizing a cleanup event in your area, click here.
