Bike to Work Week — running from May 13 through 17 — is the perfect time to experience what so many people already know: Biking to work is fun, cheaper and healthier! According to the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, the share of Americans commuting by bike has grown by 47% since 2000.
Chances are you will become a regular in the bike lane during your daily commute. According to a study by the San Diego Association of Governments, one out of five people who participated in their Bike to Work Day promotion as first-time commuters became regular bike commuters.
