Is that apple really organic? What’s the most pollutant-free area of your home? These are some of the questions a new iPhone accessory claims to answer.

HellaWella learned, via TreeHugger, of the Lapka Environmental Monitor, , a set of sensors for the iPhone that can detect such things as radiation, nitrates, temperature and humidity.

On its website, the company claims the product can give a “highly accurate reading” of radiation levels near you and how this might affect you. It also claims to detect synthetic fertilizers in raw food and water. And if you just want to find a comfortable place to relax, the monitor supposedly can detect a combination of temperature and humidity.

The product, which is still being produced, is expected to be available late this year.
