When it comes to Vegas weddings, unconventional is the norm. If you’re not a big fan of Elvis and don’t want to waste gas on a drive-up chapel, get hitched at the start line in front of 30,000 witnesses.
For the first time in its history, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon and ½ Marathon, taking place Nov. 17, is offering a three-minute ceremony where couples can tie the knot or renew their vows and still keep up with their pace. Best perk? There is no charge; just pay the entry fee.
The marathon is held at night on the flashy Vegas strip. Not ready to run 26.2 or 13.1 miles? This year they added a 6-mile race. What a healthy way to start your life together!
