This year’s Consumer Electronics Show is proving that sustainable technology is more than a passing trend; it is here to stay. The show, taking place Jan. 10 to 13 in Las Vegas features Sustainable Planet, an entire section dedicated to exhibitors who are providing the latest in green technology.

The Sustainable Planet exhibitors include companies that offer everything from earth-friendly batteries to electronics recycling services.

Exhibitors include:

2nd Solutions – This firm specializes in the processing and sale of used, returned, overstock or end-of-life consumer and corporate level IT devices.

ECOAlkalines – ECOAlkalines are batteries that have the distinction of being landfill safe and certified carbon neutral.

Nature Power Products – This company provides renewable energy and portable power products including solar chargers, power inverters, lithium chargers and a number of specialized back-up power solutions.

ThinkEco – A maker of easy-to-use energy efficient products for homes and businesses, this company offers the modlet (“modern outlet”), which provides a low-cost method for saving energy on electronic devices.

Energenie – This company makes energy-saving technology, including fully-licensed Apple products. The company’s latest product is a universal charger.

The CES green theme continues with GoElectricDrive, a showcase of electric vehicles and everything that goes with them. Best Buy and Mitsubishi Motors North America are among the exhibitors.
