If this summer’s music festivals weren’t eco-friendly enough for you, we’ve got one more that is so green it’s in the name.

The second annual Rock the Green festival, taking place on Sept. 15 at Veterans Park in Milwaukee, will give fans the opportunity to learn more about near-zero waste best practices while rocking out to their favorite bands. This year’s lineup includes Third Eye Blind, Metric, Switchfoot, Imagine Dragons, Morning Parade and Atlas Genius. The show will also feature local Milwaukee bands, including Evan Christian, I'm Not a Pilot and Ikarus Down.

"Our music-driven platform educates attendees to learn about the many ways we can minimize our collective environmental impact," said Lindsay Stevens Gardner, founder and executive director of Rock the Green. "This diverse lineup includes bands from all parts of the world and reflects Rock the Green's mission to unite concert-goers through a shared music and sustainability experience."

And the bands are happy to support the festival’s mission.

"Environmental sustainability has become an increasingly important topic. We look forward to being a part of that message at Rock the Green," said Jon Foreman, lead vocalist of Switchfoot.

Tickets are on sale now for $30 for general admission and $85 for VIP admission. All tickets will include a water bottle for use at free freshwater stations on the festival grounds.
