Going green is as simple as drinking a (FREE) cup of coffee when you participate in NBCUniversal’s “Green is Universal” Green Week.

If you will be in the New York City, Los Angeles or Chicago area until Nov. 18, stop by one of five coffee cart locations (New York only) and select coffee shops (Los Angeles and Chicago) to fill your reusable travel mug with free coffee. As an extra bonus, you will receive a sleeve of seed paper, and, if you are one of the first 100 people each day, you can get your own “Green is Universal”-branded travel mug made from biodegradable corn plastic.

The event is designed to encourage us to switch from disposable cups to reusable mugs, saving 9 million trees in the process.
