Wow this is so very outdated in 2012. I feed raw and that includes meat, bones, eggs and a few other things on your list. Kibble is an over-processed and nutritionally challenged food source for dogs and cats. How did dogs survive before packaged pet food became the huge industry it is today? Do the research before posting something irresponsible. Off to feed my dogs raw chicken...bones intact!

Good try, but you went a little too far. Dairy? When MY VET says a spoonful of cottage cheese in his kibble will keep my dog's skin and coat healthy? Blue had a spoonful twice a day for ten years along with the occasional egg yolk. Bones? Vet says a big bone once in a while is good for their teeth, keeps them clean, etc. As in humans, we need to balance quality of life with minimizing risk. Your article tips way off in one direction.

Good to note, but my dogs love avos way too much to keep them away. During Avocado season they will eat 6 or more a day with no adverse effects, and have nice shiny coats (ages 15 & 10). Mac nuts too have not adversely affected them.

Cool post, but there are a ton of people who swear by a raw food only diet for their dogs. Dogs are carnivores, after all, and their wolf ancestors didn't have the luxury of dog chow (or cooked meat).
