We all know pets are awesome additions to our families. They're adorable. They're cuddly. They're loyal. On top of all that, our four-legged friends can also do wonders for our health. Here are some of the positive payoffs, according to this infographic from Quakertown Veterinary Clinic:
Pet owners often have lower blood pressure.
And lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
Infants who live with pets have fewer ear infections.
And fewer respiratory infections.
Children with pets have a 19% chance of developing allergies, versus 33% for those without pets.
Dog owners are more likely to be physically fit.
Those with pets have lower stress levels, better moods, lower risk of depression and lower anxiety levels.
